Sustainable fashion is a movement of brands that produce collections using eco-friendly materials. The meaning of the term sustainable is broad and is not only characterized by the use of biodegradable natural fabrics but refers to the use of diverse fabric materials to prevent overuse of a particular resource. Here you will find items made of Merino Wool, Tencel, Hemp, Bamboo, Silk, Soy and more. Sustainable also refers to the way fabrics are dyed, today many brands use low-impact paint and color alternatives produced in existing pigments in nature.
Invest in women. It is extremely important to let women serve in key positions and allow them to make decisions that can affect us all as a society. In our opinion, the fashion industry is no different from any other field and therefore we see a right to encourage businesses run by women or a business where most of the employees are women.

At MICHI realize that women have unique strengths and superpowers worth celebrating. This is why they design collections that enhance performance and ignite self-expression. Michelle Watson created MICHI in NYC in 2010 with original designs that transformed the activewear landscape. She pioneered the fashion-forward athletic wear aesthetic with artfully placed mesh inserts, strappy sports bras, and sophisticated cut-outs.
MICHI believes in conscious production and the majority of the styles are created with a Bluesign® system which eliminates harmful substances right from the beginning of the manufacturing process and meets high standards for environmentally friendly and safe production. Also, the materials approved by the certified STANDARD 100 by Oeko-Tex® that ensure responsible use of chemicals and non-toxic properties. The certification also requires all parts of articles of clothing, including zippers, elastics and trims also meet the required criteria.
The majority of their styles are produced in a female-owned factory just outside Toronto, with some styles manufactured in Sedex (responsible supply chain) certified factories in China. The factory partners are selected on environmental impact, employee working conditions, and transparency.
