Why? Because…
20,000 workers die from severe poisoning in developing countries due to pesticides used for growing cotton.
Polyester emits up to 3 times carbon dioxide than other fibers such as cotton increasing the carbon footprint.
2 billion pairs of jeans are manufactured annually and a single pair takes 7,000 liters of water to produce.
Over 1,500,000 tons of hazardous chemicals are used in producing these clothes which have permanently impacted the environment.

This is why my brand produces clothes ensuring compliance with 10 values.

My brand solely relies on organic fabrics like organic cotton and linen which offer an environmentally-friendly alternative. These fabrics are grown and nurtured without using any hazardous chemicals including pesticides and insecticides while plant seeds used to grow such fabrics are not genetically engineered. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), 20,000 workers die annually from severe pesticide poisoning in developing countries. Organic fabrics are breathable as they allow air to pass between the layers of fabric to your skin and are hypoallergenic ensuring the clothes are suitable for all skin types.

Our brand ensures that each piece of clothing you buy is produced by people who are treated with utmost respect, receive fair wages, work in healthy environment, have the option to work overtime and unionize for their rights. For a brand to ensure fair-trade fashion compliance, manufacturers need to acquire approval from an independent organization. There are several such organizations globally, the leading one being the World Trade Fair Organization and the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) Certification that ensures fair production.
Sustainable fashion is a social movement of clothing brands that have made a commitment to produce their clothing lines relying on eco-friendly materials. Sustainability is a broad term and is not only characterized by the use of biodegradable natural fabrics but refers to diverse fabric materials that prevent excessive utilization of a particular resource. Our brand only sells clothes that are made of Merino Wool, Tencel, Hemp, Bamboo, Silk, Soy and other sustainable materials. Sustainability also includes the ways fabrics are dyed and processed. We use low-impact paint and color alternatives produced in naturally existing pigments.

Globalization of economy has hampered regional fashion brands which affects local jobs and businesses. Our brand encourages local production and apart from contributing towards the regional economy, localization also helps us ensuring enhanced awareness of ethics. Local-oriented brands have more control over supply chains which results in contribution to the local economy.

2 million tons of textile waste that’s generated by the fashion industry is dumped on an annual basis. Our brand is devoted to produce minimal waste products by embracing innovative technologies along with best industry standards that can be effective in terms of reducing or recycling waste, including smart fabric cutting, 3D fabric printing, reusing water, and more.

Recycled fabrics refer to those manufacturing materials that are produced from a stock of unused fabrics that are dumped by large fast fashion houses. Using these fabrics for manufacturing clothing and preventing them from turning into environmental waste ensures environment-friendly production. Another effective application of recycled fabrics is the use of nylon fabrics that are made of plastic bottles and fishing nets which are often used in swimwear and active wear manufacturing. Buying clothes made out of recycled nylon ensures you are wearing something that didn't rely on a new resource to produce.

Handcrafted products, especially clothing evoke a sense of personal emotion with high emphasis on quality craftsmanship. From clothes and footwear to accessories, handcrafted manufacturing strengthens the bond between the clothes we wear and the people who created them. There is an increased appreciation and gratefulness for craftsmanship, especially traditional methods. Handcrafted manufacturing is limited and considered environmentally friendly.

In the context of clothing manufacturing, vegan means cruelty-free. The products are manufactured without causing any harm to animals and you can wear your clothing with the satisfaction that they were not manufactured relying on methods that use animal experiments. Moreover, vegan clothing also ensures there aren’t any animal substances or by-products used in the production process.

Empowering women has become one of the defining pillars of sustainability as it enables women from all over the globe to contribute to the economy. It is crucial to let women serve in key positions and allow them to make decisions that can impact us all as a society. The fashion industry is no exception and our brand encourages businesses run by women or a business where most of the employees are women.

Ethical manufacturing takes care of manufacturers engaged in the production of items from synthetic materials such as recycled polyester and maintains fair and healthy terms of employment.
